Trail Run Expeditions – arrival in Greenland

7 September 2018 by Julie Brown

Our Trail Run Expedition team has arrived today in Kangerlussuaq, Greenland.

Most runners run not because they want to live longer, but because they want to live life to the fullest.

Last evening, Katherina, Jo, Pieter-Jan and our guide Brecht Demeulenaer departed Brussels for Copenhagen.  They were met this morning by their Swedish team member Johan, and together they excitedly boarded their flight for Greenland.  Dixie will join them in Greenland tomorrow.

Our group arrived in spectacular weather and immediately began the tedious work of equipment organization.  They took advantage of the 4 hour gain they received due to the time zone change from Copenhagen and explored their immediate surroundings in the Kangerlussuaq vicinity.

This evening our participants are now enjoying a hot meal at a local restaurant and will soon fall into a deep sleep in their cozy guesthouse in preparation for their first day out on the trails.  Tomorrow’s accommodations will be much more basic in their first campsite, but Dixie and Brecht will make the experience as warm and comfortable as possible.

We wish them an unforgettable first day of their Trail Run Expedition.  May each step lead them deeper into the magic of Greenland’s pristine nature, and more importantly, into their inner landscapes of all that is possible.
